Cultivando Tradicion Program
The aim of the Cultivando Tradición program is to work with community members to create culturally-appropriate, educational, and healthy community garden spaces. These spaces link food production and consumption to social, environmental, and economic justice issues. We currently facilitate community garden and youth leadership development projects in Anthony, Chaparral, and Vado, New Mexico.

The Cultivando Tradición program also publishes a community garden resource manual,Cultivando Tradición: A Community Garden Resource Manual for Southern New Mexico, 2nd Edition, available free online. The resource manual covers the basics of starting a community garden and growing produce in our arid environment in the context of local food system development.
