There are many ways that you can support
our work. We greatly appreciate both monetary contributions and donations
of time or expertise. The Colonias Development Council (CDC) would like to
thank contributors for their past and future support. CDC has always relied
primarily on support from private foundations, but this funding is increasingly
difficult to secure. We greatly appreciate donations from individuals who
support the mission of our organization.
1. Become a Friend of the Colonias
Development Council.
Becoming a friend of CDC is your opportunity to help colonia
residents who are working to build a better future. As a friend of CDC you will receive
periodic updates on our work. Local donors will be invited to
attend an annual event, bringing them together with colonia
residents. This will create the opportunity to learn first-hand
about the various projects colonia residents are working on.
We invite you to become a Friend of CDC as
a person committed to social justice. By becoming a Friend of
CDC, you will provide material support to colonia residents who
are striving to bring positive changes to their communities.
Please click on the Donate Now button
below to send an online donation. You can also contact us at our main
office at (575) 647-2744. Thank you for your support of community organizing and social justice efforts in
southern New Mexico!
2. Volunteer, carry out research, or complete an internship
with our organization.
We make our best effort to accommodate researchers, interns, and
volunteers. We would be happy to discuss your interests --
just contact us! It would be helpful for you to review our
Research Policy prior to
contacting us for a meeting. Thanks! Every year, the
Colonias Development Council hosts a volunteer member of the
Border Servant Corps. This
program matches volunteer young people with several
organizations in El Paso and Las Cruces.
3. Purchase gifts for your family and friends while
supporting our work.
We sell several items to benefit our organization, including
notecards and Fair Trade coffee.
Contact us for information on purchasing these items. We
also assist the women's collective Creaciones Yucca to market
their products on the internet and at local markets.
Please see the Creaciones Yucca page
for more information.
THANK YOU!
